Europe’s Cardiovascular Health Opportunities:
Leadership for Change
EHN has members across Europe. EHN members are national heart foundations and associations committed to preventing cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Europe, supporting patients, representing patient interests and funding research.
We believe every European has a right to a life free from avoidable cardiovascular diseases. We play a leading role in the prevention and reduction of cardiovascular diseases, through advocacy, networking, capacity-building, representing patient interests and research.

A greater reduction of exposure to the main risk factors for CVD would increase the number of years lived in good health.
EHN works on EU policy files related to issues that affect patients with cardiovascular disease.
EHN facilitates networking and exchange between its research-funding members, gathered in the EHN Research Platform, as well as their interaction with members of the EHN’s Patient Group.
EHN facilitates meaningful and structured patient involvement in projects to enable patients to be active partners in creating person-centred cardiovascular research and innovation.
