How should AI use your health data? Share your view

18 Mar 2026

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping how healthcare is delivered, from predicting risks to supporting more personalised treatments. But how should health and lifestyle data be used, and what does this mean for privacy, fairness, and everyday life? A new European survey invites citizens to share their views on these important questions.

The survey is conducted by researchers at Utrecht University and uses the Hypermarker project as a real-life example. Hypermarker explores how AI can support better treatment for high blood pressure by analysing medical and lifestyle data to guide clinical decisions. While such approaches offer promising benefits, they also raise broader questions about how data-driven insights are governed and used.

As a partner in the Hypermarker project, the European Heart Network supports this initiative to better understand public perspectives on health data and AI. Your input will help inform future research and contribute to the development of systems that are safe, fair, and trustworthy.
