The Young Hearts Task Force, created in 2025, is not only a space for sharing experiences – it is a platform for co-designing solutions and influencing policy.
One key outcome of this work is Young Hearts in Action, published in January 2026. This European Heart Network policy recommendations publication was developed with and by young people living with cardiovascular disease. It translates lived experience into concrete recommendations for policy, practice, and research, supporting the implementation of the European Cardiovascular Health Plan through a life-course approach.
Reach out to EHN Patients and Research Manager, Mehitabel Holler, at mholler@ehnheart.org to join the conversation and be part of a growing network of young CVD patient advocates across Europe. Together, we can ensure that young voices are heard loud and clear.
“Having experienced the challenges of living with CVD at a young age on my own skin, I know how easy it is for our voices to be overlooked. This Task Force is an opportunity to bring together young patients, share our experiences, and identify where the system falls short, so we can push for meaningful change.”Mehitabel Holler, EHN Patients and Research Manager
