Join Our Team: Event & Communications Internship

The European Heart Network (EHN) is looking for a motivated Event & Communications Intern to join our Brussels-based team from June to December 2025. This paid internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, event organisation, and EU public health advocacy.

The intern will support the preparation of a high-level conference on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in November 2025 and assist in the delivery of EHN’s communications strategy and regular outreach work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting advocacy campaigns and creating content for EHN’s newsletter, website, and social media
• Helping manage WordPress, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of events, including logistics, registration, and communications with participants
• Liaising with external service providers and supporting hybrid and in-person formats

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree or relevant background in communications, event management, European studies, or public health
• Brings previous experience (including internships or volunteering) in communications and/or event organisation
• Has a strong interest in EU health policy and cardiovascular disease prevention
• Communicates fluently in English (written and spoken); French is strongly preferred for event logistics
• Is well-organised, detail-oriented, and a team player with a creative mindset

• Internship under a Convention d’immersion professionnelle (CDP), with standard benefits
• Based in Brussels with a hybrid work setup (2–3 days/week in the office)
• The internship is expected to run from 23 June until 23 December 2025.
