New EHN Job Opportunity: Policy Advisor Patients and Research
October 18th 2022
The European Heart Network (EHN) is recruiting a Policy Advisor Patients and Research.
EHN is a Brussels-based alliance of foundations and associations dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, supporting patients and representing patient interests and funding research throughout Europe.
Cardiovascular disease is a group of disorders, all related to the heart and circulatory (vascular) system, including stroke. Though 70% of all CVDs are preventable, it continues to be the leading cause of death in Europe and globally. It presents a major societal challenge with over 60 million people in the EU living with CVD, generating an annual cost estimated at 210 billion EUR. In order to lift the social and economic burden of CVD in Europe, political leadership and a dedicated European Plan for Cardiovascular Health are needed.
EHN’s ambition is to create an environment in which the healthier choice becomes the default choice, which offers the best possible medical support and care for patients while promoting cardiovascular health for all Europeans.
Our strengths lie in advocacy, awareness raising, networking and capacity building. Our core values of independence, collaboration and inclusiveness are what underpin our success.
