Statement to the WHO European Ministerial Conference on Nutrition and Non-Communicable Diseases

On 4 and 5 July, WHO organises its European Ministerial Conference on Nutrition and Non-Communicable Diseases.  At this occasion, the European Heart Network, the World Cancer Research Fund International, the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC), the European Public Health Alliance, the International Association for the Study of Obesity, the International Diabetes Federation-Europe and the NCD Alliance have prepared a statement asking:

  • WHO Member States to curb advertising of non-nutritious food to children
  • that the food supply chain is made to work for health
  • to create a healthy school environemnt for children
